Kaa and Mowgli 2

Kaa was pleased. The hypnosis had been completed, and now the boy was completly under his spell. Silly man-cub, thinking he could hunt a snake! The sight of the boy, smiling helplessly and wrapped tight in his coils amused Kaa greatly. A little more effort, and the boy would be his forever...but first, a little fun.

"What isss your name, Man-cub?"

"Mowgli." The boy answered airily.

"Mowgli. Tell me, in your village, what do they tell you about snakesss?"

"They are very dangerous. They can crush a creature in their coils." The mechanical monotone the boy spoke made Kaa smile. "Then they eat them. You should always avoid them if you are alone. You should never face them without a weapon or protection."

"Mmm-hmm-hmm. Are you alone, Mowgli?"

"No, I am with you."

Kaa was surprised by that logic from a hypnotized child, but then smiled. "Yesss, that'sss true. But are you with anyone who could help you if I...decide to harm you?"

"No."

"Do you have any way of defending yourssself? Any weaponsss or armor? Anything?"

"No."

"That'sss right. Tell me now, where are we?"

"On the branch of a tree, high above the ground."

"Ssso if you called for help, would anyone hear you? And if they did, could they reach and help you?"

The boy scrunched his face, as if thinking was a strain now. After a pause, he said "No. No-one could hear me. And if they could, they could not reach me in time."

"No. And you won't call for help anyway. Sssay it."

"I won't call for help." The boy was still smiling.

Kaa snickered. "Now, anssswer me thisss. You sssaid that sssnakes like me could crusssh a creature in their coilsss. Isss that correct?"

"Yes."

"But tell me...what is around you right now?"

"Your coils are around me right now."

"Are your armsss pinned? Can you move them?"

The hypnotised boy tested them, and then answered. "No, I cannot."

"Ssso if I wanted to..." Kaa gave the boy a quick squeeze for effect, "I could crusssh you right now and eat you. Is that right?"

"Yes, that is right."

"Very good, Mowgli. Now, describe your current sssituation to me."

Mowgli breathed in, and began to talk. "I am alone. No-one is with me. I am on a tree branch, far away from anyone who could help me. I will not call for help. I do not have any armor or weapons. I am wrapped in the coils of a snake. My arms are pinned, I cannot move them. If you wished, you could crush me and eat me. I could not do anything to stop you, and no-one could help me." The boy was still smiling helplessly as he relayed his dangerous situation to his captor.

"Good. Asss long as you underssstand that, Mowgli." The snake let out a chuckle. "Now, go to sssleep."

Mowgli's eyes snapped shut, and he let out a small snore. Kaa let out a loud laugh.

"You jussst told me your helplesss position, and yet when I tell you to sssleep, making you even more vulnerable, you obey! Why isss that?"

Mowgli yawned, but Kaa stopped him from answering. "I'll tell you why, Mowgli. You are a helplesss, hypnotized man-cub. Sssay it, Mowgli."

"I am a helpless, hynotized man-cub."

"sssay it again."

"I am a helpless, hypnotized man-cub."

"Yesss, Mowgli. Man claimsss to be massster of the jungle, but you are not the massster, are you? You are a ssslave. Sssay it."

"I am a slave."

"You are my ssslave."

"I am you slave."

"One lassst question, Mowgli. How did you become my ssslave? What did I do to you?"

"You hypnotized me by looking into my eyes. Your eyes swirled in a way that put me in a trance."

"Very good, man-cub." Kaa put his head in front of Mowglis and began spiralling his eyes. "Now, man-cub, lisssten. My eyesss are now at their full power. If you open your eyesss now, there will be no essscape. You will be put into an eternal trance, and be brainwassshed. You will never sssee your family or your friendsss again. You will be my ssslave for yearsss. You will be humiliated daily, made to ssserve the ssslightest whim of mine. Year after year will thisss be, until I decide to eat you. Now Mowgli, what will happen if you open your eyesss now?"

Mowgli answered. "You will hypnotise me even more, putting me into an eternal trance. I will be brainwashed. I will never see my family or friends again. I will be your slave and be humiliated daily for years, until you decide to eat me."

"Good. Asss long asss you underssstand that." Kaa smiled. "Now open your eyes, helpless hynotized man-cub."

Mowgli's eyes flew open and his new life began.
