Chapter 1

"Boss, I know how you feel about rock music and that former call girl, Lynch. But the stadium needs the money, and the bands always bring it in. We've had dozens of suggestions to boost our profits, and the concerts are the only things that are…respectable enough. So I'm gonna forget the lyrics they sing and hire'em tonight. We'll discuss 'ethics' and 'taste' while we're counting the cash."

Chapter 2

"I'm browsing through some of the artifacts I've collected in the museums, reminiscing my glory days as a freelance archaeologist. Then a man in a nice suit, apparently incapable of making a fluid sentence, asks me if I'm interested in more work! I asked him, 'What kind of work?' and he answers, slowly, 'What it is you specialize in, Ms. Croft.' He's got my ear, so I ask him for a few details. He tells me I'll be working in some sort of team the government's bringing together, collecting and keeping safe 'objects of considerable power'. I haven't done a bloody thing for months, and I was in the mLXGames chapter 2

Chapter 3

"The war has been terrible. Many soldiers left their homes and families to fight for our world, going far from Earth to destroy the destructive Halo weapons. They fought to protect our planet and many others from annihilation at the hands of the fanatical Covenant. The Halo war is finally over, but not without a cost. Many soldiers never came back. They died for their families, their homes, and their world. May we never forget their sacrifice."

Working WITH a foureyes, a woman…and from the sound of it, some kid swordsman and a…ugh. I'd complain, but then I remember that this is the entire reason I got made."

"Taming this little guy ain't a picnic, but it's not as hard as I would've thought. I managed to get him to use the mat for sleepin' and convince him not to run away...still looks at me a little off though. Doesn't trust me just yet. I can't tell what he wants half the time 'cause he can't talk...then again, it wouldn't be much different if he could, from what I hear. Anyway, since I don't have a license, I gotta think up some way t' make sure he doesn't get snatched from me. Maybe a few good old fashioned labels..."

Chapter 9

"An artifact known as the 'Anubis Stone' was stolen from a government base a week ago by some cult of religious fanatics. According to the tale of this stone, it is able to resurrect the dead with the proper ceremonies. Regardless of whether you believe that, it is extremely valuable, and the base wants it back. Furthermore, these cultists have issued threats against the coalition and clearly plan to overthrow it. A tip recently received tells us that the stone and the fanatics were seen in the ruins of a temple in India. The group is likely doing a ceremony using the stone. Chapter 10

"I was born during the beginning of the 'halo wars', as these humans call them. I was raised to be proud warrior, fighting towards salvation for the glory of the covenant and the honor of the Sangheili. However, when I am actually brought into army, it is revealed that the prophet of Truth was an insane liar, the halos were weapons designed to eradicate every sentient creature, and a brute uprising means we now fight alongside the humans! Gah. What a waste."

Rest of the cult is in custody and the Anubis Stone is back in the coalition safehouse. No loss of operatives. There, how's that?"

The transports that Arbiter and his select group had used to recover the stone couldn't go underwater. They had to rendezvous with a submersible at what a casual observer would guess was an oil rig in the middle of the ocean. Not a whole lot to really say...I just saw the cover to League of Extraordinary Games and figured I could do the same with video game characters. Took me a while to come up with a reasonable team.

Did you choose the characters based on how familiar you were with them from playing the games or based on who you think would be the easiest to write?

A bit of both, to be honest. I started with characters from games I'd actually played or just heard of. THen I trimmed them based on what I could write. Alice from American McGee's Alice was originally going to be in the lineup, but after some thought I decided to replace her with Lara Croft because it made more sense.

Due to games taking place in different timelines, like Bioshock taking place in the 1950-60s and Halo taking place in the 26th century and later, what is the LXGames time period?

A mishmash, honestly. I stopped caring about the timeline and decided to just put the games together as logically as I could get away with. THis isn't exactly a perfectly thought-out masterpiece. It's a fan story I made pretty much on the fly that I felt like sharing. Keep that in mind.

Well, games like Kirby and Rayman I had to forget about because they were so surreal I couldn't make them work in this universe I created.

This whole entire gallery is amazing! It must've tooken a long time to put all together. I wonder what the finishing result is? Are you going to add more characters? If you are, I might have some good character that'll fit in, or try to fit in.
